The Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) is an international non-profit organization that links researchers globally to enhance local capacity for policy analysis in developing countries. The PEP Working Paper Series discusses a broad range of issues related to poverty reduction and sustainable development. Topics include, but are not limited to, agriculture and food security, women's and youth economic empowerment, climate change, social protection, and financial inclusion. Two distinguishing characteristics of the PEP Working Paper Series are: i) Most papers are authored by researchers living and working in the countries they study; ii) Almost all PEP working papers are externally reviewed before publication. PEP has become a hub of expertise, knowledge and innovation in the field of economic and development policy analysis in developing countries thanks to the continual support and interaction of world-leading experts and institutions.
