Faculty Position in Accounting

The School of Accounting and Finance invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting. The successful applicant will be hired at the Assistant Professor rank. The position is to commence on July 1, 2018, and is subject to final budgetary approval.

JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS: The position will have teaching, research, and service obligations. This position is directed to candidates who have a PhD in accounting (or are close to completion), and a strong propensity for research. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated research agenda that is dynamic, productive, and applied. Preference will be given to candidates with a professional accounting designation, who have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate/graduate levels, and who have a capacity for collaboration and collegial service. While all areas of accounting are welcome, the School is particularly interested in candidates with strong theoretical and empirical research credentials to strengthen our growing research capacity. Candidates with experience teaching in professional accounting programs including case teaching and IFRS are preferred. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion, as they pertain to service, teaching, and scholarly research.
