Tenure Track Faculty Position (all ranks)

The University of Mississippi Patterson School of Accountancy seeks to fill up to two tenure-track positions, one in tax and a second in information systems/data analytics for Fall 2018. We welcome applications for the assistant, associate or full professor ranks.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Patterson School offers the Bachelor of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, Master of Taxation and Ph.D. in Accountancy. All degree programs are accredited by the AACSB. Beginning Fall 2018, we will offer two additional graduate programs in data and analytics in the areas of accountancy and tax. The Public Accounting Report consistently ranks the School's degree programs within the top ten in the nation. The School is administered by the Dean of the School of Accountancy, who reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. The University of Mississippi houses the National Library of the Accounting Profession (former AICPA Library). EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate or ABD status from an AACSB-accredited university is required. ABD candidates in advanced stages of their dissertation with expected degree completion of no later than one year from their employment date will be considered. A CPA will be required prior to tenure. The successful applicant will be dedicated to quality teaching, research and professional service. While all accounting specialties will be considered, the candidate will be expected to teach tax or systems/data analytics.
