Faculty Position in Accounting - Academic Year 2018-2019

The John T. Steed School of Accounting in Michael F. Price College of Business invites applications for a tenure or tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level starting in the 2018-2019 academic year. Primary needs are for faculty with research and teaching interests in Financial Accounting and Auditing, but all areas may be considered, including Managerial. Salary and benefits are open and competitive, based on candidate's credentials and experience.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited program, and have an established record of research in highly-rated peer-reviewed journals as well as an active research program. Candidates must be able and willing to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level including doctoral seminars.

EVALUATION: Candidates will be evaluated based on their past academic record, current work in process, evidence of quality teaching, and high quality service activities. Candidates are encouraged to submit evidence of teaching effectiveness through submission of student or peer evaluations of their teaching.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: The Price College is AACSB-accredited with approximately 4,000 undergraduate, 350 master's, and 35 doctoral students. The Steed School of Accounting is separately accredited by the AACSB with approximately 650 Accounting and BBA/MAC majors, 150 master's, and 8 doctoral students. The School's undergraduate and master's programs have been ranked among the top programs of their size in the nation. Graduate students' most recent success rate on the CPA exam was among the highest in the nation. The Steed School faculty currently consists of 12 tenured and tenure-track professors, including three current or past editors of top, peer-reviewed journals, three full-time clinical professors, and several lecturers.
