Assistant Professor of Accounting (Position ID: F00036P)

The University Of Texas At Arlington, Department of Accounting invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. All teaching areas will be considered but preference will be given to Accounting Information Systems, Tax and/or Financial Accounting.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The position responsibilities will include:
a) Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and participating in curriculum and course development;
b) Research culminating with publications in nationally recognized "A" journals;
c) Customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community and/or profession; and
d) Maintaining appropriate AACSB faculty qualification criteria as defined by the Department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Accounting at the time of joining the faculty. We will also consider ABDs who are close to completion. All candidates are expected to have a commitment to high-quality teaching and research. Professional certification and work experience are highly desirable. The College of Business and Department of Accounting are both AACSB accredited.

The Department anticipates a start date for Fall 2018 or earlier. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
