Professorial Lecturer of Accounting

The Department of Accounting of the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington D.C. invites applications for a term faculty position at the rank of Professorial Lecturer for the Academic Year 2018-19. The initial term of the appointment will be one-year renewable and it will commence on August 28, 2018. The position is conditional on final approval.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in Accounting or anticipated completion by August 2018.
- Published articles in peer-reviewed journals or demonstrable potential as evidenced by working papers, papers under review for candidates who have received Ph.D. within the last two years.
- Teaching versatility, the ability to teach in several areas of accounting (e.g., auditing, financial, managerial, taxation) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach accounting at an outstanding level to undergraduate and/or graduate students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include teaching six courses at the undergraduate/graduate level each academic year, and service to the department, school, and university. An active research agenda is encouraged and supported.
