Assistant (Associate/Full) Professor,
Media,Peace and Conflict Studies

The Department of Media, Peace and Conflict Studies,
Graduate School of International and Area Studies at Hankuk
University of Foreign Studies, Seoul, Korea is seeking to
fill a position (for a non-Korean) in the field of
"Journalism" or "media", effective September 1, 2009,
subject to budgetary authorization and approval. The
assistant professor level is preferred, but the associate
and full professor levels will also be considered according
to qualifications.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in
"Journalism" or "media", and to teach graduate courses
in "media and conflict".
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies is a dynamic community
with great diversity. Many teaching staff members are from
various foreign countries. The expected monthly salaries
are 3,627,200 Korean Won (UDS $ 2,856.06) for the assistant
professor level and 4,148,000 Korean Won (USD $3,266.14)
for the associate professor level. The newly appointed
professor will also be offered a one-way air ticket to
Seoul, Korea and, possibly, accommodations.
