Full Professorship (W3) of Philosophy of Mind

The Faculty of Philosophy, Philosophy of Science and Religious Studies invites applications for a Full Professorship (W3) of Philosophy of Mind (Chair) commencing as soon as possible.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The holder of this position will also be a member of the interfacultative Munich Center for Neurosciences - Brain and Mind (MCN). Applicants should possess an original profile with a focus in the field of Philosophy of Mind. Apart from representing the field of Philosophy of Mind, the appointed person is expected to (i) play a substantial role in shaping the philosophical component of the interdisciplinary cluster "Brain and Mind" at the MCN; (ii) engage actively in teaching and research to an adequate degree both within the Faculty of Philosophy and the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences (GSN-LMU) directed by the MCN.

Prerequisites for this position are a university and a doctoral degree, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
