Operations Management and Management Faculty Positions
The Graduate School of Management (GSOM) at Clark University, AACSB-accredited since 1986, invites applications for an open rank tenure-track operations management position (Assistant/Associate/Full) and a lecturer position (3-year initial appointment) to begin fall 2014.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The tenure track appointment requires a doctorate in hand by September 2014 from an AACSB-International or EQUIS accredited institution. Applicants with varying levels of experience will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of, or potential for, teaching excellence in operations management and sustainability. Candidates must have ability to teach at the Master?s level. Candidates must provide evidence of scholarly research excellence, preferably demonstrated by publications in high quality academic journals. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in sustainability. Prior business or consulting experience is also valued.
The lecturer appointment requires a master?s degree or doctorate in hand by September 2014 from an AACSB-International or EQUIS accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with prior business and/or management experience. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence in the primary areas of introductory management and strategic management. Interest and experience in teaching entrepreneurship, sustainability management, and/or social change is a plus. Candidates must have ability to teach at both the undergraduate and the Master?s level. In addition to teaching five courses per academic year, the management lecturer will be responsible for on-boarding and mentoring of new faculty. Candidates must be prepared to describe and/or demonstrate their capacity for this additional responsibility.
ABOUT THE GSOM: The GSOM offers an undergraduate management major, as well as MBA (full-time and part-time), MSF, and MSA degrees. Programs include an MBA concentration in Sustainability, and a dual MBA/MS degree in Environmental Science and Policy offered in collaboration with the International Development, Community and Environment (IDCE) department.
