Faculty Positions in Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The new Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) in Moscow seeks faculty candidates to build a new academic group focused around technological innovation and entrepreneurship. Multiple tenure-track and tenured faculty positions are available to begin early 2014 or thereafter.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- You will join a new institution of world-class scientists and technologists.
- You will be part of building a new academic organization, while designing, developing and teaching new curricula, aimed at global science and technology, to graduate students drawn from Russia and the world. These unique students are motivated to understand better how to execute commercialization of their own and others' research.
- You will carry out your own related disciplinary research, as well as have opportunities to collaborate with other academic leaders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a PhD in a disciplinary area that relates to organizing and managing technological innovation and entrepreneurship. The unique candidate with a doctorate in engineering or the physical or life sciences would be of special interest if she/he has already shown an ability to conduct scholarly research and teaching in managerial/organizational aspects of emerging science- and technology-related companies. An applicant with prior experience in starting or helping to grow young technology-related new enterprises would be of special interest to Skoltech.
- You show evidence of strong research capability.
- You are able to merge fundamental theoretical knowledge with practical relevance, and to build and maintain sustainable relationships with practitioners.
- As all classes at Skoltech will be carried out in English, you must have strong capability to teach and converse in English.
