Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor

The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia invites applications for tenure-track positions at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will hold a doctoral degree in their field and be able to demonstrate a strong record and interest across research, teaching and community engagement (commensurate with the rank applied for) in areas relevant to our Faculty vision and aims, and the UBC Plan. Candidates for a Professor or Associate Professor position will currently hold a tenured faculty appointment. The available positions are subject to budgetary approval and the start date is as soon as mutually convenient.

ABOUT THE FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT: The Faculty of Management is located at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus. We offer undergraduate, graduate and professional development programs, and participate fully in UBC's interdisciplinary graduate study (IGS) program. Our vision is for informed students, citizens, leaders, managers and entrepreneurs to understand businesses and organizations from multiple perspectives, taking into account public interests, and focusing explicitly on ethics; thus for people to be innovative and creative in imagining and realizing their future. We aim to focus on rapidly changing and uncertain contexts, and on management in globally connected regions. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: More specifically, candidates must demonstrate a strong record and interest across the following areas (commensurate with the rank applied for):
- Significant publications in areas central to the Faculty's vision, mission, aims and commitments
- Support for research through grants and external funding
- Innovation in the dissemination and application of research
- Teaching in areas central to the Faculty's vision, mission, aims and commitments
- Development of hybrid or blended learning environments
- Scholarship that is not only disciplinary but that also crosses disciplines
- Relationship and capacity building with regional communities and organizations
- Knowledge translation with regional communities and organizations
- Administration and collegial governance in a university setting
- Mentoring of colleagues and students
- Relationship building with colleagues
- Leading and working in teams
- Development of the Faculty's vision and mission, and of its further growth and advancement

(2) A current and complete curriculum vitae
(3) Statements outlining a program of future research and community engagement, and areas of teaching interest
(4) A sample of research scholarship
(5) Evidence of accomplishments in the above-mentioned requirements for successful candidates
(6) Names and contact information for three referees
