Assistant, Associate or Full Professor- Engineering Systems and Management
The Engineering Systems and Management Program at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology invites applications for positions at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The search is open to candidates with the following expertise:
- Entrepreneurship and innovation (innovation systems and policy)
- Management of technology
- Product design and development/industrial engineering
- Industrial economics (industrial organization, technology policy, economic development)
- Systems engineering and systems architecture
- Systems project management (planning and scheduling, decision support systems, infrastructure systems)
Applicants with prior experience in starting or helping to grow young technology-related enterprises are of special interest. Joint appointments are possible with the Institute's planned Center for Innovation Systems and Entrepreneurship.
Those applying for these positions should have the desire to excel, both in teaching and research, in an interdisciplinary work environment. Applicants should have: (a) Doctorate in Engineering, Management or the Physical or Life Sciences, (b) the ability to teach at the graduate level, (c) the ability to supervise graduate students, (d) a willingness to develop an active program of research with funding from academic and industrial entities, and (e) a proven ability to conduct scholarly research and teaching.
