Journal of Management Studies
New General Editor and Associate Editor

The Journal of Management Studies is seeking a General Editor and an Associate Editor to join the editorial team of Andrew Corbett, Andrew Delios, Bill Harley, Allen Amason, Don Bergh, Dries Faems, Justin Jansen and Davide Ravasi. The successful candidates will replace Andrew Delios and Andre Spicer who will be moving to the role of Consulting Editors. The term of office is three years, from 1st July 2013 in the first instance, with an option for a further three. The posts carry a generous honorarium and all necessary travel expenses will be covered.

ABOUT THE JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT: Currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, the Journal of Management Studies was established in 1963 as one of the first general management journals. It publishes innovative, novel and high-quality papers that advance theoretical and empirical knowledge in the area of management. It is one of the leading management journals in the world.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Specific qualities sought from candidates include the following:
- Significant scholarly contributions in any area of management studies. Currently it would be helpful if this included one or more of the following areas of expertise: organizational behaviour, organizational theory, strategy, international business, human resource management, critical management studies, corporate social responsibility, leadership and corporate governance. It is expected that applicants will identify a specific category as a primary area of expertise. Editors must be prepared, however, to handle manuscripts across a wide range topics and domains. We particularly encourage applicants with expertise in qualitative research, although this is not essential.
- Extensive experience as a reviewer for management journals.
- Demonstrated administrative skills, capacity to handle a demanding workload and to meet deadlines.
- Must also be able to work constructively with authors, reviewers and the editorial team.

FURTHER INFORMATION: Interviews will be held in the week commencing 18th March 2013 in the UK. The panel will consist of SAMS Council Members, JMS General Editors and the Editorial Manager.
