Tenured or Tenure-track Position in Management
The Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for
a tenured or tenure-track position in Management at the
rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to begin
August 2010.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in a
field of management. All degree requirements must be
complete at the commencement of the appointment. The degree
must be from a program with a strong research orientation.
Applicants with expertise and interest in organizational
behavior, operations management, strategic management, or
international business are especially desired. To be
considered for the title of Assistant Professor, applicants
must exhibit, through their accomplishments, promise of
future distinction in scholarship and education. Applicants
for the title of Associate Professor are expected to
possess a record of excellence in scholarship as
demonstrated by an emerging national and/or international
reputation, a level of high quality in educational
activities including teaching and advising, and a
significant level of service to the department, the
Institute, and the profession. To be considered for the
title of Full Professor, applicants must be an academic
leader, possessing a nationally or internationally
recognized record of excellence in scholarship, a sustained
level of high quality in educational activities that go
beyond teaching and advising, and a sustained level of
service to the department, the Institute, and the
profession.
We are especially interested in applicants who will
contribute to our strong cross-disciplinary research and
teaching culture.
EXPECTATIONS:
The successful applicant will be expected to publish
scholarly research in high quality academic journals,
demonstrate superior teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate levels, and actively advise doctoral students.
Salary and fringe benefits are competitive. This position
is subject to budget approval.
