Tenure-Track Faculty Position in
Organizational Theory or Strategic Management
The Graduate School of Management at the University of
California-Davis (UCD/GSM) invites applications for a
tenure-track position in the area of Organizational Theory
or Strategic Management. The position will be filled at
the Assistant Professor level.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a PhD in Organizational Theory,
Strategy or a related field (e.g., Sociology or
Organizational Behavior) and expertise in the study of
organizations. We encourage applications from junior
scholars (recent PhDs). Candidates should have a PhD degree
at the time of appointment.
ABOUT THE MBA PROGRAM:
For thirteen consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report
has ranked the UC Davis MBA program among the top 21 public
institutions and in the top 50 public and private MBA
programs in the nation. The Wall Street Journal and The
Financial Times rank the UC Davis MBA among the top 40
business schools in the United States. The Organizational
Behavior group at UC Davis was ranked No. 1 in 2007 and No.
2 in 2008 in the Financial Times' worldwide rankings.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY:
Both the GSM and UCD are noted for their collaborative
research environments. A UCD/GSM appointment offers
opportunities for joint research with scholars in other GSM
subfields, in other UCD departments such as Sociology and
Political Science, and in other UCD professional schools
such as Medicine and Law. The UCD/GSM is also located near
the San Francisco Bay area and a large community of
organizational scholars. Davis is an intimate college
town, located within an hour and a half of San Francisco,
the Napa Valley, and the Sierras.
