The PhD programme runs for three years. Dependent on the student's background there will be some coursework required. The University offers a number of Ph.D. scholarship opportunities for international and domestic students. These scholarships include tuition fees and health cover costs for scholarship holders, and health cover costs for their dependants.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: International students seeking scholarships should apply by 31st July, 2013 and domestic students seeking scholarships should apply by 31st October, 2013.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Deakin Graduate School of Business is one of the largest Schools (or Departments) in Australia with 45 academics engaged in teaching and doing world-class research in its core disciplines: accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing and organizational behavior.

Research interests of the faculty members include political economy and public choice, economic growth and development, international trade and environmental economics and industrial organization, corporate governance & ethics, social responsibility reporting & disclosure, financial reporting & disclosure, currency markets and exchange rate issues facing emerging economies, mathematical models for financial fraud detection, consumer behavior and novelty and loyalty, guarantees, self-service technologies and complaining behaviour, online marketing, tourism, leisure, not for profit marketing, relationship value,virtual resources theory, sustainability in the Australian energy industry, undertaking effective transitions from work to home, international business and international marketing and developing comprehensive job stress prevention programs.

The Faculty provides a stimulating research environment with regular seminars, monthly workshops, and presentations by visitor scholars.
