Chair of Business Administration and Marketing II

The Business School of the University of Mannheim is seeking to fill the post of a full professor at the Chair of Business Administration and Marketing II (Succession of Professor Dr. Hans H. Bauer).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The chair holder is expected to contribute to research and teaching in Marketing as a representative of the Marketing department at the University of Mannheim. Applicants are expected to have profound teaching and research expertise in the field of Marketing with a special research focus also on consumer behavior research. This expertise should be evident in the applicant's publications in high-calibre international journals.

JOB DESCRIPTION: It is expected that the chair holder coordinates courses with the colleagues in the Area Marketing. Duties not only include active participation in the general teaching responsibilities within the realm of consecutive studies (Bachelor and Master courses) but also in the doctoral program of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the University of Mannheim. Furthermore, contributions to non-consecutive programs (MBA) at the Mannheim Business School are welcomed. The quality of the applicant's teaching experience should be demonstrated. The Area Marketing stresses innovative teaching methods (focus on interactivity using case studies, simulations, and other applied teaching methods) as well as the ability to teach courses in English. Proof of this ability is required.
