At The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Business
Studies a position as Assistant/Associate Professor or
Professor in Marketing Management and Research (position
no. 2009-252/05-0338) is open for appointment from
1.12.2009.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The job is announced related to research activities within
the research group in Management, Accounting and Control at
Department of Business Studies as well as ongoing research
activities at Department of Health Science and Technology.
Teaching activities are focused on the master program in
Medicine with Industrial Specialization where a new track
in Medical Market Access is offered from Fall 2009.
Furthermore, the applicant is expected to participate in
the building of a strong PhD program and the development of
a new flexible MBA in cooperation with the Danish
Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The Department of Health Science and Technology has 140
employees and is responsible for more than 400 master
students and 50 PhD students. The Department of Business
Administration has 65 employees and is responsible for
about 1000 master and diploma students and 15 PhD
students.
Applicants with competencies within one or more of the
following areas will be preferred: Pharmaceutical
marketing, Biostatistics, Marketing statistics, Health
technology assessments, Health economics and management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Appointment to Assistant Professor presupposes scientific
qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific
qualifications. The research potential of each applicant
will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
The Faculty of Social Sciences wishes to ensure that
assistant professorships provide career opportunities both
within and outside of the university. For that reason,
assistant professorships are formed in a manner ensuring
that the competencies achieved in the position qualify our
staff for careers within research as well as the private
and/or public sectors. No later than one year before the
termination of the position, you will be offered an
interview that will clarify your further career.
It is presupposed that applicants for the position as
Associate Professor have research qualifications at the
level corresponding to that obtained from a satisfactorily
carried out employment period as assistant professor,
researcher or post.doc, or obtained otherwise. The
applicants must document scholarly production at
international level. Furthermore, it is presupposed that
the applicants have received supervision and pedagogical
supervision and a positive evaluation of the teaching
qualifications.
Appointment to Full Professor presupposes that the
applicants must document a high degree of original
scholarly production at international level, and have
contributed to developing the academic discipline of the
advertisement. Emphasis is also placed on the applicant's
ability to manage research and fulfill other management
functions, provide pedagogical guidance, supervision and
take part in academic assessments.

An expert assessment committee will undertake the
assessment of all the applicants to the position.

Appointment and salary acc. to the Ministerial Order no 284
of 25 April 2008 (the Appointments Order) and the Circular
concerning the job structure for academic staff at
universities of 13 June 2007 from The Ministry of Finance.
Salary in accordance with the agreement between the
Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of
Professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State.
