The TC Beirne School of Law at the University of
Queensland, Australia, invites applications from

JOB DESCRIPTION: Outstanding researchers in any
area of law are strongly encouraged to apply. The
School has particular teaching needs in the areas
of Corporate Law, Taxation Law, Property Law,
Commercial Law, and the Law of Evidence.
Successful candidates will be committed to the
development and maintenance of a high profile and
productive programme of research, the provision
of research-enhanced legal education that is
distinguished by its rigour, depth and conceptual
sophistication, and to engagement with our
national and international communities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a good
first degree in law and hold a doctoral
qualification in law. To be successful, they must
possess an expert knowledge in an area of law; a
research record appropriate to the level of
appointment, demonstrated through high quality
publications and competitive research grants;
excellent teaching skills at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels; high-level communication and
inter-personal skills; and the ability to promote
the interests of the School within the
University, the national and international legal
academy, and the wider community, including
industry, government and professional bodies.
REMUNERATION: These are full-time, continuing
appointments at Academic Levels B, C or D. The
remuneration package for Academic Level B will be
in the range $81,857 to $97,205 p.a., plus
employer superannuation contributions of up to
17% (total package will be in the range of
$95,773 - $113,730 p.a.); Academic Level C will
be in the range $100,275 to $115,623 p.a., plus
employer superannuation contributions of up to
17% (total package will be in the range $117,322
to $135,279 p.a.); Academic Level D will be in
the range $120,739 to $133,018 p.a., plus
employer superannuation contributions of up to
17% (total package will be in the range $141,265 to $155,631 p.a.).
