In its 2013 annual academic appointment round the ANU College of Law is seeking enthusiastic, engaged and talented academics to join a law school that is nationally and internationally renowned for its path-breaking scholarship, its innovation at all levels of legal education, and its commitment to community engagement and to exploring questions of law reform and social justice.

JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS: In this round the College is prioritising appointments at levels B and C, with an emphasis on early to mid-career academics who have established, or are establishing, a strong research track record, and an ability to teach across the areas identified below. They should also share the high value the College places on allowing individuals to reach their true potential in an environment of collegiality, egalitarianism, and respect for diversity.

The College has particular teaching needs in the areas of tort law, contract, corporate law, criminal law, and evidence. In addition, new appointees will be expected to contribute to the teaching of the first year undergraduate courses in Foundations of Australian Law or Lawyers, Justice and Ethics, and to share the College's enthusiasm for an increasingly international dimension to its educational programs and research agendas.

The ANU College of Law, Australia's national law school, is a leader in the development of the discipline, both in research (a top score of 5 in ERA 2010 and ERA 2012) and in education.

SALARY RANGE: (Australian Dollars): $83,773 - $112,860 pa plus 17% superannuation and generous staff allowance.
