DIREITO GV opens a selection process to hire two full-time professors to start working in August 2013.

The selection process will prioritize the following fields of study: Civil Procedure, Judicial Systems and Alternative Dispute Resolution; Law and Development, Sustainability and Innovation; Philosophy, History and Theory of Law; and Constitutional law, Constitutional Theory and Theory of Rights.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates are required to have a PhD in law or in another similar field of knowledge and should have conducted academic research on DIREITO GV's areas of interest, as well as the ability to teach courses and move into other fields of expertise; capacity to produce high-level academic papers. The candidate academic research should meet the highest standards, established by the Brazilian research regulator (CAPES). It should also demonstrate ability to lead collective research projects, to participate in interdisciplinary scientific and academic research.

All candidates are required to have advanced English skills. Shortlisted candidates will have this skill checked in the job interview and in the teaching test.

The same e-mail address should be used to send any questions about the process.

Please note that:
(i) The reference letters required for application should be sent by the signatories directly to the Recruitment and Selection Committee;
(ii) Foreign candidates are not required to master the Portuguese language;
(iii) The requirement of revalidated diplomas does not apply to foreign applicants during the selection process;
(iv) If a foreign candidate is approved, he/she must, within 60 days, file an application for revalidation of diploma in Brazil;
(v) Maintaining an employment relationship with FGV is contingent upon effective revalidation of diploma within two years after the candidate is hired.
