Director of the Graduate Tax Program

The Villanova University School of Law and the Villanova School of Business seek a distinguished tax practitioner to lead its esteemed Graduate Tax Program, to begin in August 2013. The Villanova Graduate Tax Program has over 200 full and part-time students. In 2012 U.S. News ranked Villanova Law School's tax program seventeenth in the nation and its graduate tax program ninth.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of the Graduate Tax Program is responsible for leading and managing of all aspects of the Graduate Tax Program. The position's main responsibilities include overseeing the program's curriculum and adjunct teaching faculty; coordinating involvement of the full time faculty of both the Business and Law Schools, counseling MT and LLM students on academic and professional development issues; developing and implementing an effective marketing and outreach plan to ensure the Program maintains and potentially grows its student enrollment; managing all aspects of admissions; and cultivating relationships with alumni and tax professionals in the academy and private sector to attract qualified students and to assist our students and Career Strategy office with placement opportunities for graduates. While the Director position is a full-time administrative one, teaching could also be a component of the position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have an excellent academic background and significant practical experience (either in government or the private sector). The ideal candidate would be an experienced tax practitioner with excellent leadership and management skills who has some teaching experience in academia. However, academic experience is not a requirement and this position may be well-suited for an individual interested in building a second career in academia and helping develop our next generation of tax professionals.
- Minimum Qualifications: CPA and/or J.D.
- Preferred Qualifications: LLM or MT
