One-Year Limited Term Position

The University of Victoria Faculty of Law invites applications for a One-Year Limited Term position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful applicant will be expected to teach Contracts, Restitution, Commercial and Consumer Law and/or related course(s), and participate in the delivery of the first year Legal Process program. The position also includes administrative responsibilities. The appointment, effective July 1, 2013, will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor or Senior Instructor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor requires successful completion of a J.D. or LL.B. degree, an LL.M. or equivalent degree and an outstanding law school record. Appointment at the rank of Senior Instructor requires successful completion of a J.D. or LL.B. degree, an outstanding law school record, and at least two years of practice or related experience. A record of successful teaching and publication in law and related fields would be an asset. Remuneration will be commensurate with educational background and experience.
