       Associate Dean for Legal Writing and Lawyering Skills


     The Donald Bren School of Law at UC Irvine is seeking a
     candidate for the position of Associate Dean of Lawyering
     and Legal Writing to begin July 1, 2008. This position will
     be appointed as a Lecturer with Security of Employment
     title.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     Applicants must hold a JD or equivalent degree from an
     accredited institution and have demonstrated experience as
     a clinical professor and significant administrative
     experience. The final candidate will be responsible for
     designing and implementing a comprehensive program for the
     development of professional lawyering skills, to include
     intensive instruction and training in legal writing, legal
     research and analysis, and oral advocacy. The individual
     would be responsible for designing and administering the
     lawyering skills/legal writing program to be required for
     all first year students. We encourage applications from
