Clifford Chance University Lecturership in Law and Finance With a Tutorial Fellowship at Harris Manchester College

The Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford and Harris Manchester College, Oxford invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Clifford Chance University Lecturership in Law and Finance, to commence not later than 1 October 2013. This is a permanent post with a combined College and University salary of British Pound 42,883 - 57,581 per annum, plus additional benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful appointee will be required to pursue research and to undertake teaching in the field of Law and Finance. It will be important for the University Lecturer to be able to work in collaboration with colleagues in the Faculty of Law and in the Said Business School in joint research and teaching programmes, and consequently a personal research programme demonstrating interdisciplinarity is desirable. Potential fields of specialisation (not mutually exclusive) include corporate finance, corporate insolvency, corporate governance, financial regulation, and law and finance in emerging markets. The postholder will be provided with an office and other facilities in the Law Faculty Centre, in the St Cross Building.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a doctorate in a relevant subject, or an established record of accomplishment in legal research and a record of high quality research and publication commensurate with their career experience. They should also demonstrate the ability to lecture, supervise, examine and give tutorials within the field of appointment; and should possess administrative and pastoral skills.
