Faculty Positions
Florida International University College of Law, a state
law school located in Miami, Florida is seeking colleagues
to join our active and engaged faculty. We invite
applications from entry-level and experienced candidates
for tenure-track and lateral appointments beginning in the
2010-2011 academic year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are particularly interested in candidates with an
interest in teaching torts and/or criminal law, and a
record of practical experience or scholarly work in these
areas. We have additional curricular needs in evidence and
trusts and estates. Entry-level candidates should show
significant potential for future development as scholars
and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
We are also interested in lateral candidates with
significant expertise within their field. Experienced
candidates in a wide range of fields will be considered if
they have a record of high scholarly achievement and
teaching excellence.
ABOUT FIU COLLEGE OF LAW:
FIU College of Law was established in 2000, enrolled its
first class in 2002, and currently has 30 full-time faculty
members. In the spring of 2007, the FIU College of Law
moved into a new state-of-the-art building at the heart of
the main university campus. Over the past two years, our
FIU on-campus community has been enriched through the
addition of a new medical school and the construction of
the Frost Art Museum.
As Miami's public research university, the FIU community
and the College of Law are strongly committed to the
