Applications are invited for a University Lecturership in
Law and Finance. The post is associated with a non-tutorial
fellowship at Linacre College and is tenable from 5th April
2010 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary is on a
scale from British Pound 42,351 to 56,917 per annum plus
College allowances and a start-up grant from the Law
Faculty of British Pound 4,000. The Faculty may propose a
starting salary beyond this scale in an exceptional case.
The post will be based at the Faculty of Law.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Law Faculty, in conjunction with the Said Business
School ('SBS'), has embarked on an exciting and innovative
programme to create one of the world's leading centres for
interdisciplinary research and teaching at the intersection
of law and finance. The lecturer will work in collaboration
with the Said Business School in assisting the development
of joint research and teaching programmes, and some
familiarity with economic and financial analysis of
corporate finance, corporate governance, and securities
market regulation will be an advantage. The successful
appointee will be required to pursue research and undertake
teaching within the field of law and finance.
