Dean of the Law School
Capital University of Columbus, Ohio, invites applications
and nominations of individuals for the position of Dean of
the Law School. Founded in 1903, Capital University Law
School has a long history of academic innovation and is part
of Capital University, the oldest and largest independent
college in Central Ohio. The Law School seeks an inspiring
leader with a demonstrated record of successful fund-raising
and proven ability to develop, articulate and implement a
plan to increase the regional visibility and reputation of
the school.
ABOUT THE LAW SCHOOL:
Capital University Law School's enrollment is approximately
720 students. The Law School has been continuously
accredited by the ABA Section on Legal Education and
Admissions to the Bar since 1954, and has been a member of
the Association of American Law Schools since 1983. Capital
University Law School has 30 tenured or tenure-track faculty
including the Dean, Associate Dean and Director of the law
library and 8 full-time, long-term-contract faculty. There
are seven attorneys serving three clinics and nine
professors of legal writing.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The Dean should possess demonstrated management and
leadership skills and a commitment to diversity in all its
forms. The successful candidate will possess a strong
academic record or a distinguished record of professional
achievement in the bench or bar. The Dean will hold rank of
a tenured full professor.
