                  Two Rosalind Franklin Fellowships
      (tenure track positions for talented female researchers)


      The Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen is a
      modern, internationally oriented institution, that builds
      on a longstanding tradition of four centuries. Groningen
      belongs to the top three of law faculties in the
      Netherlands. The legal education has been rated the best
      in the country. The Faculty gives high priority to the
      international dimension of education and research.

      The Centre for Law, Administration and Society (Centrum
      voor Recht, Bestuur en Samenleving - CRBS) is the research
      institute of the Faculty of Law. CRBS has a long history of
      stimulating, initiating and carrying out interdisciplinary
      and internationally oriented research.


      JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      To increase the participation of talented women in our
      research programs, the Faculty of Law offers two Rosalind
      Franklin Fellowships. The two Rosalind Franklin Fellows
      will pursue their research at one of the departments of the
      Faculty of Law, in close connection with CRBS.

      Applicants preferably have:

      - a PhD degree (LL.D.) and at least three years of post-
        doctoral experience
      - publications in international top journals of legal
        research
      - proof of independence and international recognition
      - experience in various working environments, preferably in
        different countries
      - experience in acquiring external funding
      - a research proposal with a clear vision of future legal
        research
      - teaching experience
      - organizational qualities and communication skills.


      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      Successful candidates will set up their own research
      project(s) in the area of their choice, including funds to
      support a PhD project, and will be expected to attract
      external funding. They will also contribute to the
      international teaching programmes within the faculty.

      The fellowship, of at most five years, comprises a salary
      in the range of an Assistant Professor or an Associate
      Professor, depending on experience and qualifications.

      Following a favorable evaluation after at most five years,
      the fellow will be awarded tenure and promotion to the rank
      of Associate Professor, including the ius promovendi, or
      Full Professor.
