     Pace Law School invites nominations and applications for
     the position of Dean.


     ABOUT THE LAW SCHOOL:

     Pace Law School was founded in 1976 and is located on its
     own campus in the Westchester County community of White
     Plains, New York, thirty-five minutes by train north of New
     York City. Fully accredited by the ABA and a member of the
     AALS, the School draws its students from all regions of the
     United States. The School is well established with a strong
     and growing reputation. The Law School has forty full time
     and more than fifty adjunct faculty members. The faculty
     prides itself on its academic credentials, substantial law
     practice experience and its commitment to legal
     scholarship. The faculty also values its commitment to
     teaching. Faculty members pride themselves on availability
     and accessibility the students as well as engagement with
     the community. All of the recent hires play an active role
     in the life and leadership of the school, and it is
     expected that this will continue.

     The School's student body is composed of approximately 500
     full time and 200 part time J.D. candidates and 50 graduate
     student LL.M and S.J.D. candidates. Many of these students
     are attracted primarily by the School's highly regarded
     environmental law and international law programs. Also
     notably, many of the School's students are first-generation
     Americans or first-generation professionals.

     The School is committed to maintaining a strong J.D.
     program, with a diversified program of basic legal
     education. At the same time, the Law School offers students
     the opportunity for in-depth study of several specialty
     areas, including International Law, Land Use Law, and
     Environmental Law, a program that is recognized
     internationally and consistently ranked as one of the top
     three programs in the United States. The school also offers
     significant opportunities for students interested in Health
     Law & Policy, Women's Justice and clinical education.


     JOB DESCRIPTION:

     The Dean leads the Law School faculty, supervises the Law
     School staff and reports to the University Provost and
     Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Dean
     will work collaboratively with University leaders and
     administrators to implement the goals and strategic plans
     of the Law School and the University. The Dean is expected
     to lead the Law School in continuous improvement of its
     reputation in the legal academic and legal practice
     communities; to lead the Law School into its next phase of
     development as an institution; and to develop non-tuition
     sources of revenue. Ultimately, the Dean's objective is to
     enhance the well-being of past, present, and future Law
     School students.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     Prospective candidates for Dean are expected to possess
     significant experience and reputation in legal teaching,
     administration and scholarship or comparable qualifications
     in the private, public or corporate legal practice
     community; demonstrated leadership and management skills;
     knowledge of the New York City area legal community; and
     demonstrated ability to raise funds.


     ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY:

     Pace University is a one hundred year old private
     institution of higher education with over 12,000 students
     in New York City and three campuses in Westchester County,
     immediately north of the City. Pace University, an
     independent, comprehensive institution of higher education,
     is classified as doctoral/research intensive in the
     Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher
     Education. Pace has six colleges and schools: the School of
     Law, Business, Computer Science & Information Systems,
     Education, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Nursing. Pace's
