The Kreisman Initiative on Housing Law and Policy began at the University of Chicago Law School in the fall of 2013. The Initiative's mission is to bring Chicago ideas to bear on housing-related legal and policy debates through scholarly research, external engagement, and educational programming. As part of this mission, the Initiative formed a Working Group of scholars from across University divisions and disciplines to share research, spur collaboration, and publicize Chicago research on housing. The Law School launched the Kreisman Working Papers Series in order to facilitate the dissemination of early-stage and newly published research by the Working Group and other University of Chicago researchers.
