II International Seminar on Institutional Theory: Constitutional Courts and Political Reality
November 6-8, 2013, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Our M.Sc. Program at the Law School and our Lab –
LETACI – of the Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro - Brazil is promoting the "II
International Seminar on Institutional Theory:
Constitutional Courts and Social Reality", during
November 6-8, 2013, and it will discuss subjects
on institutional and constitutional theories both
in United States and Brazil concerning the
Supreme Court and the Supremo Tribunal Federal
(STF), such as judicial activism, judicial
supremacy and constitutionalism history.
The seminar is sponsored by CNPq (Brazilian
Research Council), Faperj (State of Rio de
Janeiro Research Foundation) and UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro).
Last year, in our I Seminar on Institutional
Theory, we received several American scholars,
Professor Tushnet, Professor Graber, Professor
Bednar, European scholars, Professor Corsi and
Professor Nabais, and Canadian Professor Tremblay.
