Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization (SNO) 2nd Annual Conference

November 3-5, 2013, Santa Barbara, CA

The Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization (SNO) will hold its 2nd Annual Conference in Santa Barbara, CA, on November 3-5, 2013. Building on the success of our 1st conference, we seek to enhance participation of industry and policy-makers, and to include more presentations and discussions on applications of nanotechnology that promote sustainability (energy, water, resources), life cycle assessment, legal and social issues, economic evaluations of the benefits and costs of nanotechnology, and sustainable manufacturing of nano-enabled devices. PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: While we have received many abstracts in some areas, SNO has extended the deadline for accepting abstracts and applications for student awards through August 19, 2013 via the SNO website ( http://www.susnano.org), with particular emphasis on having more participants for the sessions on social, legal and policy considerations.
