                    PACE INTERNATIONAL LAW REVIEW
                         2009-2010 SYMPOSIUM


               COMPARATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW: NATIONAL
                      SECURITY ACROSS THE GLOBE


                         November 13th, 2009



     Pace International Law Review will hold a symposium
     entitled Comparative Constitutional Law: National Security
     Across the Globe. The symposium is scheduled to be held on
     November 13th, 2009 as an all day event with multiple
     panelists and guest speakers. The editors of Pace
     International Law Review invite proposals for articles,
     essays and book reviews from scholars, researchers,
     practitioners, and professionals for contributions to be
     considered for presentation at the symposium and subsequent
     publication on our newly developed and comprehensive
     International Law Website.



     PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:


     Please submit proposals of no more than 500 words to:

     by July 15, 2009.


     All proposals should include the intended author's name,
     title, institutional affiliation and contact information.
     The proposals should address issues pertinent to the
     interrelationship between national security concerns and
     constitutional law of a particular nation or nations.
     Article proposals that provide a comparative analysis of
     issues and concerns faced by various nations are preferred.
     The proposals should be as thorough as possible and may
     include suggestions for other panelists who are experts in
     the proposed topic.


     Book review proposals should also include:


     (a) The title and publication date of the book proposed for
         review
     (b) A description of the importance of the book to the general
         topic
     (c) Any other information relevant to the book or proposed
         review (e.g., the reviewer's expertise or any relationship
         with the author)


     Authors are also welcome, but not required, to submit a CV.



     FURTHER INFORMATION:


     We expect to make offers to the selected guest speakers in
     August, 2009. We encourage clear, concise, and accessible
     proposals for articles, essays and book reviews that will
     interest lawmakers, attorneys, and students. Please note
     that all proposals will be considered for publication even
     if Pace International Law Review finds that the proposal is
     not suitable or pertinent to this year's symposium.
     Complete manuscripts for work that will not be presented
     at the Symposium will be due by August 31, 2009.
