INAUGURAL SUMMER INSTITUTE ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY,
                BIOTECHNOLOGY AND AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

                   Intellectual Property Law Center
                     Drake University Law School

                   Monday-Tuesday, May 19-20, 2008

      DESCRIPTION:

The first day of the Summer Institute consists of a closed-
door roundtable among the various stakeholders in the
biotech industry. Governed by the historical Chatham House
Rule, this roundtable is specially designed to allow
participants to closely examine issues, clarify positions,
explore common grounds, and strengthen relationships with
      each other.

The second day of the Institute features a public
conference on intellectual property, biotechnology, and
agricultural sciences. This conference includes academic
presentations concerning the latest developments and
      research in the area.

The Summer Institute is made possible by a leadership gift
from Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. and is cosponsored
by the Agricultural Law Center at Drake University Law
      School.
