CALL FOR PAPERS

INAUGURAL CONFERENCE ON INNOVATION AND COMMUNICATIONS LAW

                         July 17 - 18, 2008
                           Turku, Finland

The University of Turku Faculty of Law, University of
Louisville Brandeis School of Law, Michigan State
University College of Law and IPR University Center jointly
invite you to a trans-Atlantic conference on innovation and
     communications law.

This conference scrutinizes national and international
market regulation and asks to what extent existing laws are
equipped to handle shifts in structures and new forms of
mass-communication. Law and lawyers have an important role
in affecting the viability of innovation and communication
models, the democratic potential of technologies, and
related social developments. The conference focuses on how
the law can develop to solve problems that arise when
traditional laws encounter changed technology or new
behavior on the part of the citizenry; be it private or
     entrepreneurial.

Intellectual property law scholars are invited to submit
abstracts by March 14, 2008 and present their work for
peer-review at one of our track sessions.
