E-DISCOVERY: ONE YEAR UNDER THE NEW RULES

Touro Law Center - Central Islip, New York

                      Wednesday, March 12, 2008
                           4:30 - 7:00 pm

     CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION:

Electronic discovery (or e-discovery), through which
litigants produce and receive information stored digitally,
is no longer an afterthought. Since the Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure were amended in December 2006 to expressly
address e-discovery, attorneys and business people have had
to establish new processes and adapt to changing technology
even as the volume of discovery material and cost of
dealing with it grow. Finding good information and
experienced help can be very difficult.

The Touro Law Center Institute for Business, Law and
Technology, in association with the Electronic Discovery
practice at Gibbons P.C. and industry leader Inference
Data, is proud to present an evening CLE event at Touro's
law campus in Central Islip (adjacent to the state and
federal courthouses) devoted to e-discovery and how
litigation and business have changed in the year since the
new rules were adopted. Leading e-discovery attorneys
Jeffrey Nagel and Mark Sidoti of Gibbons P.C. and e-
discovery expert Nicholas Croce of Inference Data will
     teach attendees:

     - What the new rules truly require:

     - How to manage information before litigation to aid in
       compliance
     - The secrets to controlling the costs of producing and
       reviewing electronic information
     - How to avoid pitfalls that can lead to improper
       production and even malpractice

Following their presentations, the speakers will lead a
roundtable discussion of experiences under the new rules,
joined by Wayne Brody, V.P. Legal and Chief Compliance
Officer of multinational corporation Arrow Electronics and
Peter Ausili, Esq., Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge
Leonard Wexler of the Eastern District of New York.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, join
in the discussion, and learn the best practices for
managing the many issues involved in e-discovery.
