EMERGING FAMILY LAW SCHOLARS AND TEACHERS CONFERENCE 2008
Cardozo School of Law
June 5-6, 2008
The Emerging Family Law Scholars and Teachers June
Conference will take place on June 5-6, 2008, at Cardozo
School of Law, in Manhattan. This conference is an
opportunity for emerging family law scholars and teachers
(defined as those with roughly less than ten years of
teaching experience in family law) to share scholarship,
talk about our field more abstractly, pool our collective
knowledge on teaching issues, and also get to know one
another. Space is limited to forty participants (selected
purely on a first-come, first-served basis), so register as
soon as possible to ensure a space.
The conference will consist of three idea/scholarship
sessions, addressing issues related to family law
scholarship; two sessions devoted to scholarly works-in-
progress; and one teaching session. Thanks to Cardozo
School of Law, there is no registration fee, and all meals
during the conference will be provided. Participants will
need to pay for their own transportation and
accommodations. There are two blocks of rooms reserved at
area hotels.
