Assistant or Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management, (Position #003340)

The Lally School of Management & Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track/tenured assistant or associate professor position in Business Analytics to start in the Fall of 2013.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: At minimum, candidates for Assistant Professor must have a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline along with the ability to demonstrate, through their records of accomplishments, promise of future distinction in scholarship and education. Candidates for Associate Professor must meet the educational requirements of the Assistant Professor, and also must demonstrate a record of the following accomplishments, achieved over a minimum of three (3) years of professional academic experience. Accomplishments include: an emerging national and/or international reputation; high quality educational activities including teaching and advising; service to the department, the University, and the profession.

ABOUT RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE (RPI): Rensselaer is ranked among the top 50 national universities and is a Carnegie I research institution. The Lally school offers undergraduate, masters, MBA and Ph.D. programs in business related disciplines including information systems. Approximately 350 undergraduate students, 120 MBA/MS students and 35 Ph.D. students are currently enrolled in the business school. The strategic goals at Rensselaer include becoming a world leader in inter-disciplinary IT research and teaching.

The Lally school is beginning a new Master's Program in Business Analytics in the Fall of 2013. Successful candidates will be expected to teach in this program. We are seeking individuals with research and teaching interest in applying business analytics to marketing, supply chain and health care domains. Strong econometric, analytical modeling and statistical analysis skills are required. We are also interested in candidates with strong technical skills in areas such as data management. The successful candidate will have duties that include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in their departments, developing and maintaining robust programs of research and scholarship, as well as service to the department, the School of Management and to Rensselaer.
