Dieter Schwarz Endowed Junior Professorship

The Business School at the University of Mannheim invites applications for the Dieter Schwarz Endowed Junior Professorship (W1) in the field of Information Systems, E-Business, and E-Government.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Junior Professor will initiate, conduct, and supervise high-quality research in the area of Information Systems, with special focus on E-Business, and E-Government, teach courses in Bachelor and Master Programs, contribute to the University's Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB), and participate in the Institute for Enterprise Systems (InES).

The Junior Professor will become an active member of the Area Information Systems and conduct research in collaboration with other members of our school.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals with a strong publication record and an international reputation in research are encouraged to apply for this position. Candidates pursuing rigorous research with high business relevance are preferred.

Employment follows state university law (S 51 2 and 3 Landeshochschulgesetz). Candidates must hold a PhD from a reputable institution and have substantial and relevant academic experience. Specifically, candidates should have demonstrated their ability to conduct high quality research in the fields of E-Business and E-Government. Evidence of excellent teaching quality will be highly valued.

FURTHER INFORMATION: The Junior Professor will be employed as a temporary civil servant for the duration of three years. Based on the evaluation results the position is extended for another three years.
