Announcing New Health Economics Network

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Health Economics Network (HEN). It will provide a worldwide, online community for research in all areas of Health Economics, following the model of other subject matter networks within SSRN.

We expect HEN to become a comprehensive online resource for research in Health Economics, providing scholars with access to current work in their field and facilitating research and scholarship.

HEN is sponsored by the International Health Economics Association (iHEA), an organization dedicated to increasing communication among health economists, fostering a higher standard of debate in the application of economics to health and health care systems, and assisting young researchers at the start of their careers.

The network will be directed by Thomas E. Getzen, Executive Secretary and CEO of iHEA and Professor of Risk, Insurance and Healthcare Management at Temple University. Getzen will be assisted by Tor Iversen, Professor of Health Economics at the University of Oslo in Norway, and David Cutler, Otto Eckstein Professor of Applied Economics at Harvard University.

Initially, HEN will begin with the following subject matter journals. We look forward to adding more as HEN grows.
