LECTURERS:
In order to develop its research and teaching programs,

Senior Professor of Finance specialized in Capital
Markets/Asset Pricing - three vacancies in Nice, France:
With a PhD in finance or economics, the successful
candidate will have demonstrated his/her ability to produce
the highest quality research and will have an outstanding
track record of international publication in the field of
investments. Research service will be carried out within
the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Centre, one of
the leading European research centres in the area of
applied research in asset management. The salary range is
between Euro 150,000 and Euro 200,000 gross and incentives
and bonuses are available for publication in selected
academic journals.
Associate Professor of Finance specialized in Capital
Markets/Asset Management - one vacancy in Nice, France:
With a PhD in finance or economics, the successful
candidate will have demonstrated his/her ability to produce
high quality research and will have a track record of
international publication. Research service will focus on
portfolio management with special emphasis on alternative
investments (commodities, hedge funds) and will be carried
out within the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research
Centre, one of the leading European research centres in the
area of applied research in asset management.
Senior Professor of Finance specialized in Corporate
Finance - one vacancy in Lille, France:
Applications are invited for the position of Professor of
Corporate Finance. Classes taught will include investment
decision-making, financing policy, treasury management and
mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will be
a team worker who has published recently in international
journals in the area of corporate finance and notably in
areas such as valuation, the impact of the new accounting
standards, the problems of financing and remuneration
policy, etc. Teaching experience at both the undergraduate
and executive level is a prerequisite, and experience in
the corporate arena as a project leader or in another
position of responsibility would be considered an asset for
the position. A CFA qualification and the ability to speak
French would also be appreciated.
Senior Professor of Real Estate Finance - one vacancy in
Nice, France:
With a PhD in real estate finance or finance, the
successful candidate will be an expert in real estate
investment and portfolio management. He/she will have
demonstrated his/her ability to conduct high quality
research and will have a track record of international
publication in top journals. Research service will be
carried out within the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management
Research Centre, one of the leading European research
centres in the area of applied research in asset
management. Major themes will be: real estate as an asset
class, sources of risks and returns, investment vehicles,
and performance measurement. Business or consulting
experience in these areas would be considered an asset for

Analysis and Accounting Research Centre. Major themes will
be the valuation of companies, including the impact of IFRS
on annual reports and the perception of risks, and the

Professor of Accounting specialized in Accounting Standards
and Financial Accounting - one vacancy in Lille, France:
The successful candidate will have a PhD and will be a
specialist in international accounting standards and
literature and their impact on the analysis of financial
statements. He/she will have a track record of
international publication in prestigious academic journals.
The successful candidate will participate in the work of
the EDHEC Financial Analysis and Accounting Research
Centre. Major themes will be the valuation of companies,
including the impact of IFRS on annual reports and the

Professor of Economics specialized in Insurance
Microeconomics - one vacancy in Lille, France:
Applications are invited for the position of Professor of
Economics specialized in Insurance Microeconomics. The
insurance themes are envisaged in relation to social
protection (healthcare) and financial issues at the
intersection between economics and finance. Candidates
should have demonstrated their ability to produce the
highest quality research in economics and to teach students
at both the graduate and postgraduate levels. The
successful candidate will participate in the work of the
EDHEC economics research centre on the evaluation of
economic policy.
Professor of Economics - one vacancy in Lille, France:
Applications are invited for the position of Professor of
Economics. Candidates should have demonstrated their
ability to produce the highest quality research in
economics and to teach students at both the graduate and
postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will
participate in the work of the EDHEC economics research

Senior Research Engineer for the EDHEC Risk and Asset
Management Research Centre - one vacancy in Nice, France:
Graduate from a leading business school specialised in
finance - ideally with a PhD - and with a minimum of three
years' experience in a research post with an investment
bank or asset management company.
Research Engineer specialized in Derivative Instruments and
Structured Products for the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management
Research Centre - one vacancy in Nice, France:
The successful candidate will be a financial engineer or
have a PhD in quantitative finance and will have
significant skills in stochastic calculus and its
applications to the evaluation of derivative products,
with, ideally, successful initial work experience within an
investment bank in a financial engineering and/or
structuring team. Interested candidates who do not have a
PhD will have the possibility of enrolling in a doctoral
programme in finance which would be supervised by members
of the research centre.

The successful candidate will be an economics or finance
graduate with a masterās degree or a PhD in finance and

The successful candidate will be a financial engineer with
significant skills in quantitative finance, modelling and
calculation. Interested candidates who do not have a PhD
will have the possibility of enrolling in a doctoral
programme in finance which would be supervised by members
of the research centre.
Business Analyst for the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management
Research Centre - one vacancy in Nice, France:
The successful candidate will have a background in finance,
business studies or economics and will work on EDHEC's
industry surveys and reports. A strong interest in the
asset management industry is essential and a sound
knowledge of portfolio theory and portfolio management, or
a willingness to acquire this, is required. Since all
reports are in English, a good level of written English is
required though writing style and language will be
corrected and improved by a technical writer prior to
publication.
Research Assistants for the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management
Research Centre - vacancies in Nice, France:
Scholarships will be proposed to selected students who will
meet stringent admission requirements for a PhD in finance
at Edhec, a programme that will be launched in September
2008. A number of related research assistant positions will
be made available at the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management
Research Centre.
