            Assistant Professor in Quantitative Finance


     The Econometric Institute invites applications for a
     tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor
     in Quantitative Finance.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     Candidates should have their PhD dissertation completed or
     near completion. All fields of Quantitative Finance will be
     considered, but preference will be given to candidates
     working in the fields of derivatives and risk management.
     Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate (the
     potential for) excellence in both research and teaching.


     ABOUT THE ECONOMETRIC INSTITUTE:

     The Econometric Institute has a strong research tradition
     in both theoretical and empirical econometrics. Focal areas
     of interest include applications of econometrics in
     finance, marketing and macroeconomics. At Erasmus
     University, the Quantitative Finance group of the
     Econometric Institute is part of an active research
     community with members from the Department of Finance at
     the School of Economics and the Department of Financial
     Management at the business school (Rotterdam School of
     Management, RSM). The Econometric Institute offers
     excellent research facilities, including access to all
     major financial databases.

     The Econometric Institute offers a full-time one-year
     Master of Quantitative Finance program, which serves a
     select group of 50 students with prior training in
     economics, econometrics and statistics. Faculty members are
     also active in teaching in the undergraduate Econometrics
     program offered by the Econometric Institute, as well as in
     the MPhil and PhD training programs of the Tinbergen
     Institute and the Erasmus Research Institute of Management
     (ERIM).
