Faculty Positions in Finance
Candidates are sought for one or more tenure track and one
or more non-tenure track faculty appointments in the
Department of Finance to be effective Fall Semester 2008.
ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF FINANCE:
Late stage doctoral students certain of graduation by
December 2008 or experienced doctorate holders in finance
or a related discipline are sought for one or more tenure
track appointments to be effective Fall 2008. Preference
will be given to candidate appointment at the rank of
Assistant Professor; highly accomplished individuals
possessing a distinguished teaching and publication record
may be considered for the rank of Associate Professor.
Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to conduct
high-level research publishable in the premier academic
finance journals. The Department also values a commitment
to quality teaching at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD
levels. Opportunities for conducting research in the
Department are excellent.
CLINICAL ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF FINANCE
(NON-TENURE TRACK):
Accomplished individuals are sought for one or more non-
tenure track appointments at the rank of Clinical Assistant
or Clinical Associate Professor to be effective Fall 2008.
Appointment is renewable annually but is not limited in
duration. An earned doctorate in finance or a related
discipline is required. Candidates must possess
demonstrated capability in high-level classroom performance
at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; success in
executive education forums is also desirable. Appointees
will be expected to engage in the practicum of finance
including supervision of field study courses and case
writing, and research into the scholarship of teaching and
learning. While an appointee's primary commitment will be
to the classroom, access to a first-class research
environment and its resources is available. Normal faculty
service assignments are expected.

Preference will be given to applications received by

suitable candidates are found. Positions are contingent on
final budget approval by the University. Salary and
