Executive in Residence or Visiting Professor in Finance

The Department of Finance of the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington D.C. invites applications for a term faculty position or a visiting Professor (open rank) for the Academic Year 2016-17. The initial term of the appointment will be one-year renewable and it will commence on August 29, 2016.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications include:
- For Executive in Residence position: A graduate degree in a relevant filed with substantial work experience in finance which qualifies the individual to teach a variety of finance courses.
- For Visiting Finance Professor, Ph.D. in Finance or Economics or anticipated completion by August 2016. Rank will depend on prior academic qualifications and experience.
- Primary teaching focus is in Finance, with a broad-enough range of competencies within that field to teach undergraduate and graduate core courses, including advanced courses.
- Demonstrated ability to teach finance at an outstanding level to undergraduate and/or graduate students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include teaching three courses at the undergraduate/graduate level each semester, and service to the department, school, and university.
