Assistant Professor of Finance
The Department of Finance and Management Science
in the College of Business at Washington State
University is seeking candidates for Assistant
Professor of Finance at Pullman campus. This is a
permanent full-time tenure-track position.
Anticipated start date is August 16, 2014.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a
Ph.D. in Finance or closely related field from a
nationally or internationally recognized
university by employment start date. Qualified
candidates must demonstrate research potential to
publish in the field's premier journals. A
commitment to excellence in teaching and
demonstration of teaching effectiveness are also required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be
required to teach four courses per year
(typically two per semester), conduct high
quality academic research in Finance, and serve
the Department, College and University as needed.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE: Washington State
University conducts transformational research and

26,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional
students. Founded in 1890 in Pullman, it is
Washington's original land-grant university. The
College of Business is AACSB accredited, and
first offered a business administration degree in
1940. Today, the College of Business grants
almost 20 percent of WSU's undergraduate degrees,
making business one of the most popular majors on
campus. The Department of Finance and Management
Science has a research oriented faculty and
offers one of the largest undergraduate business
programs within the College of Business. The
Department also offers a vibrant Ph.D. program
with the support of the School of Economic Sciences.

Washington and Moscow, Idaho, each contain a
major state university and are located eight
miles apart in the scenic Palouse Hills area of
eastern Washington and northern Idaho. The
combined population is approximately 53,000, including 33,000 students.
