Assistant Professor in Finance
The Department of Finance at the University of Arkansas' Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires a Ph.D. in Finance (or completion of the Ph.D. by August 15, 2014). We have preference for candidates with interest in supervising student-managed funds, but will consider candidates with teaching and research interests in all areas. Candidates are expected to publish research in top-tier finance journals, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute their service to the university.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND AREA: The Walton College of Business is AACSB accredited and offers programs at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. The University is the flagship public research institution in the state of Arkansas. The city of Fayetteville is located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains with a regional population of about 500,000 and is consistently listed among the most desirable places to live in the U.S. A number of Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Northwest Arkansas, including Wal-Mart, Tyson, and J.B.
