Assistant Professor in Financial Economics
The International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF), established in academic cooperation with the London School of Economics (LSE) as an autonomous college within the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, is inviting applications for tenure track positions in financial economics and financial econometrics. Teaching and other academic activities at ICEF are in English, and knowledge of the Russian language is not a pre-condition for appointment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree in finance or economics before taking up the appointment, to have university teaching ability and experience, and to demonstrate strong research potential. The salary range for successful candidates in the 2013-2014 academic year will be 250 000 - 300 000 Russian Rubles per month (approximately $90 -109K per year at the current exchange rate) depending on experience and qualifications. An exceptional candidate will be considered for a senior position and a higher salary. At ICEF salaries are indexed to inflation annually.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Appointed assistant professors are expected to publish in reputable academic journals and to contribute to the ICEF undergraduate and master's programmes. The teaching load of newly hired faculty members is less than 100 hours per year with an additional 25% reduction for the first year of employment. Appointed faculty will be also fellows of the International Laboratory on Financial Economics, established in collaboration with LSE.
The candidates may be offered joint appointments with the Faculty of Economics, within the Higher School of Economics.
