Harbert Eminent Scholar and Professor - Investments
The Department of Finance invites applications and nominations for a
faculty position as Harbert Eminent Scholar and Professor of Finance
starting in Fall Semester, 2014.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in finance or closely related field with
established credentials in the area of investments that would warrant
appointment to an endowed chair position is required. In addition to
high quality scholarly publications in investments, the candidate
should have been actively involved in a leadership position in a
Ph.D. program and have joint publications with emerging scholars from
that program. The instructional responsibilities of this position
will focus primarily on graduate level courses. The successful
candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at
the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working
legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication
