Associate Professor in Neuroeconomics

The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Geneva is opening a full-time position for an Associate Professor in Neuroeconomics at the Department of Economics

JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate is expected to develop interdisciplinary research in neuroeconomics with a particular emphasis on the role of emotions in economic and financial decision-making. This full - time faculty position involves teaching in economics and specially in neuroeconomics at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels as well as the supervision of master and doctoral thesis.

The candidate will bridge research links between the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences where his or her position will be located and the research centers of the University of Geneva that focus on finance (Geneva Finance Research Institute), on affective sciences (Swiss Center for Affective Sciences) and on neurosciences (Geneva Neuroscience Center). With the opening of this position, the University of Geneva aims to develop in the near future internationally competitive research in the area of neuroeconomics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D or equivalent academic title.
- Experience in supervising research and in academic teaching.
- Publications in internationally renowned academic journals.

Starting Date: 1st of February 2014 (or at a date to be discussed).
